In this article, we will briefly explain the hydroelectric power plant by creating a large artificial whirlpool in the sea and enclosed ponds of water.
Hydroelectricity is briefly referred to the process of generating motive power from water to rotate turbines and then transferring power and energy to a generator to convert it into electricity. There are several sources in nature that have the inherent nature of oscillating mechanical energy in their structure, and water is one of these sources. In fact, water has the ability to be converted into oscillating mechanical energy due to its reactivity to other forces in nature, which can be extracted from water in various forms depending on the type of pressure of the surrounding forces. There are several methods for converting the oscillating energy of moving water into electrical energy and generating electricity. Typically, turbines are used in most extraction methods because the rotation of the blades and then the shaft creates the largest amount of power to transfer to the generator. In a few other projects, the mechanical oscillation of rising and falling sea waves or translational motion in physics, is used to generate energy.
In all hydroelectric power plants, turbines are mounted in the path of the water flow so that the water flow rotates them after hitting the turbine blades and creates torque for the generator.

The scarcity of fresh water in the world and the targeted use of it have caused water to not be considered a stable and reliable source for energy extraction in most countries. However, even in areas with high rainfall or access to the sea, creative plans have not been presented for extracting energy from water and the vast majority of all current projects (in water-rich areas) have large amounts of water waste during the energy production process.

These challenges and limitations led me to create the idea of using and extracting energy from water without waste. In other words, in this idea, I have tried to return the water to the storage source after extracting power from the water and converting this power into energy, so that its waste rate reaches zero, which is an important and practical factor in areas with little water resources. This idea is designed based on the inherent laws of physics so that we can move the mass of water from a stationary state to a moving state and use this movement to generate energy.

For water recycling and the idea of using a motionless liquid, the physical behavior of vortices became the model for my initial design, with the difference that vortices are created based on changes in the forces of nature but, in the design I have presented, we create the vortex artificially in a way that allows us to increase the dimensions of the radius of the vortex circle and also control the speed of rotation of the water inside the vortex. By using these two features, the pressure of the water flow increases and the driving force produced becomes more continuous and stronger, which ultimately allows us to use this vortex movement of water to extract energy.
This project has the important "recirculation" capability in its structure, meaning that in addition to the sea coasts, we can also use this project next to the dam ponds located on land to return water to the original source.By establishing and using the "water recycling system" of this project, the amount of water waste has reached zero and we can easily return the water to the dam pond without wasting and reducing the amount of storage after generating the necessary driving force for the generators. The importance of the "water recycling" system becomes more apparent when the project is implemented in areas with low water levels, because by implementing this project, we will both achieve electricity generation and prevent water wastage and after going through the energy extraction process, the water is returned to the dam lake or storage pond.

Given the reduction in groundwater resources due to droughts and global warming, the construction of hydroelectric power plants using a "water recycling system" can significantly help compensate for the reduction in freshwater resources worldwide. This idea can be used in the sea, lakes behind dams and large water storage ponds. If we build this power plant at sea, we will also have the possibility of using freshwater power-based systems, because the artificial vortex provides the electricity needed for the steam production tanks in thermal distillation systems and using renewable energy for essential purposes.
◉ Technical description of the invention:
As can be seen in the computer simulation (video at the end of this article), to recycle seawater or dam lake, I have used the new idea of creating an artificial vortex. The water recirculation in this idea is done by two suction and pressure tanks (vacuum suction pumps). The use of suction and pressure tanks can cause mechanical rotational motion due to the continuity and uniformity of the movement of the turbine blades. In addition, by using the rotational motion of the vortex, it creates more pressure when water enters the turbine valve, which will naturally make the turbine work more powerfully and continuously.

In this method, I have used a cylindrical pond with a flexible radius. The reason for using a cylindrical structure for the pond is to reduce the coefficient of friction of the water movement on the wall and sides of the pond, so that in this way the water can have a smooth and rotating movement within the circle of the pond without engaging with 45-degree angles. According to the principles of physics, the greater the radius from the center of the water that we have enclosed in one place, the greater the pressure produced due to the pull of gravity on the mass of water, so to achieve greater speed and pressure of water rotation inside the pond, we need to build a cylindrical pond. This pond can be made of concrete with a waterproof layer, metal with a waterproof coating or compact and durable plastics. The water enclosed in this pond, after reaching the stage of continuous rotation can accurately simulate the pressure action of a large whirlpool for us with the difference that the energy production facility is located inside the pond and the center of the whirlpool. The best places to carry out this project are the sea coast, inside the lake dams and independent water ponds.
A vortex is a physical phenomenon that results from the circular motion of a gas or liquid within a certain range. At the center of the vortex is a point around which the material rotates, and in fact, rotation is formed when the speed of something surrounding this point or line varies. Due to this property, even air passing over an airplane wing can be considered an example of the rotation of a vortex. In this idea, by using a circular pond, friction forces at the angles are eliminated and the angular momentum of the water remains constant as it moves inward. Although the speed of the water in the inner wall of the pond decreases slightly as it approaches the center of the vortex, but this amount of rotational pressure at the center of the vortex is sufficient to force the water into the turbine inlet with great force and pressure. This water pressure, after entering the turbine, has the ability to rotate the turbine blades quickly and powerfully because the water pressure in the dynamic entry mode (moving water) to the turbines will be approximately 5 times higher than the pressure in the static entry mode (non-moving water), which varies depending on the speed of rotation of the vortex.

In order to move water within the cylindrical environment of the pond, we must create forces called centripetal forces and apply them to the water inside the pond. Centripetal forces create a pull of the surrounding mass towards the center of the vortex, which is actually the main cause of rotational motion in a vortex or in a system similar to the rotating forces of tornadoes. The distribution of water speed and pressure in the slope of the vortex depends on the height of the depth of the vortex, meaning that a higher rotation speed at the bottom of the vortex represents a greater concentration of centripetal forces in that area. These physical laws mean that in order to achieve a higher speed in the rotational motion of water (ponds with a smaller radius), we must need to create and produce larger pressure forces. To avoid this challenge, I considered the radius of the pond to be 200 meters from the center so that the vortex wall at its lowest point reaches the fastest possible speed by combining air pressure, water pressure, and gravity.
As can be seen in the images, this large-scale design is designed on the sea to achieve the highest efficiency of generating electricity from the rotation of water. The water inlet chamber to the turbine is located in the middle of the pond, which is connected to the sea floor with 4 thick and long legs. The station (cylindrical chamber) is made of metal with a waterproof coating layer, which houses the turbine chamber and the shaft connecting to the generator and the personnel control room. The station (cylindrical chamber) is about 20 meters high (from the lowest point to the highest point) and about 30 meters wide (diameter). The large turbine blade chamber is located in the middle and lowest part of the station.

Eight water inlet valves are mounted at the lowest part of the station so that water entering the blades chamber causes the turbine shaft to rotate. A 45-degree elbow is used at each inlet to reduce friction, position the inlet of each pipe exactly in the direct path of the water's rotation, and allow more pressure to enter the turbine blades chamber. These 8 connecting elbows play a very important role in keeping and transferring power into the turbine without loss. If the 45-degree connecting elbow is not used, high friction will occur as the water rotates in a curved and uneven line with the turbine inlet, which will result in more than 50 percent pressure drop at the water inlet.

The physical structure of the water circulation in the pond is such that after the 8 inlet valves are opened, the water is drawn into the turbine blade housing. After entering the turbine and rotating the blades connected to the shaft, the water is discharged from the outlet pipe at the bottom of the housing and is sucked in by two large vacuum tanks. This suction leads to the acceleration of the flow between the turbine inlet and outlet ports and has an increasing effect on the rotation speed of the turbine shaft. This suction also leads to the rotation speed of the vortex, which due to this charge of motion, exerts more powerful centripetal forces towards the vortex slope and increases the water pressure inside the turbine.
To compensate for the total dynamic height (the vertical distance that water must enter the tanker) and the pressure drop in the pipes, two vacuum suction tankers are installed on both sides of the station. These two tankers create a very strong vacuum space with high suction properties by removing and pressing air out of the suction isolation tank. By releasing the tanker outlet valve towards the pond, the atmospheric pressure inside the tank begins to move the compressed air molecules from the top to the lower levels to level the space between the molecules. This movement forces the mass energy of the water to the constant atmospheric pressure inside the tank, and as a result, the change in the internal pressure of the tank leads to the creation of a strong suction property on the side of the inlet valve at the top of the tanker.

This suction capability is achieved by opening the top inlet of the tanker (water exiting the turbine) to a stable cycle with the desired pressure, and the return cycle is completed by sucking water from the turbine into the tanker and then from the tanker to the pond. The failure of the tanker chamber pressure to reach the absolute vacuum limit (zero pressure and no gas molecules) causes pressure changes and creates uniform movement of water at the inlet and outlet of the tanker and the pressure charge resulting from pumping water by the vacuum suction tankers is transferred to the artificial vortex rotation system. The continuous circulation of water from the pond into the turbine tank and from the turbine into the vacuum suction tanker and then back to the pond leads to stable and continuous rotational movement of the turbine and the necessary force is created by the generator to produce electricity.
Above the turbine, a vertical synchronous generator is mounted in the center of the cylindrical chamber of the station to connect the turbine to the generator to transmit torque along a straight line without energy loss. The turbine shaft is directly connected to the generator rotor so that the torque is transmitted to the generator by rotating the shaft and causing the rotor to rotate and generate electricity. In order to control the system by human power, an internal workshop is designed above the turbine surface to allow direct monitoring and checking of the correct operation of the turbine and generator by a team of experts.

Building an artificial whirlpool hydroelectric power plant using energy from seawater or ponds can not only save on the use of limited water resources, but also have significant effects on reducing the pollution of power plants that rely on fossil fuels. In many parts of the world, it is possible to use renewable and environmentally friendly resources, and it only requires a transnational determination and practical planning by energy policymakers for the optimal use of renewable resources. I hope that by using such plans and ideas, the move towards the absolute use of clean energy throughout the world will be encouraged and accelerated.
Like other inventions, this invention also has the potential for further development and optimization, and its commercialization can make a significant contribution to reducing environmental degradation.
